Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Cascade Verify email verification service ("Service") operated by Salloq Software ("Company", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Service Description

Cascade Verify provides email address verification through SMTP protocol inspection, DNS analysis, and heuristic scoring. The Service determines the likely deliverability of email addresses but does not guarantee delivery outcomes. Verification results are probabilistic assessments, not absolute guarantees.

2. Account Registration

To use the Service, you must create an account with accurate and complete information. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and API keys
• All activity that occurs under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that provide false information or violate these Terms.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. You shall not:

• Use the Service to facilitate unsolicited bulk email (spam)
• Verify email addresses harvested without consent or obtained through deceptive means
• Attempt to overload, disrupt, or reverse-engineer the Service
• Use the Service to verify addresses for the purpose of harassment, fraud, or any illegal activity
• Resell or redistribute verification results as a competing service
• Share or transfer API keys to unauthorized parties
• Exceed your plan's rate limits through automated means to circumvent restrictions

4. Credits and Payment

4.1 Credit System

The Service operates on a credit-based system. Each email verification consumes one (1) credit regardless of the verification outcome. Credits are non-refundable once consumed.

4.2 Plans and Pricing

Credit packages are available as one-time purchases. Current pricing is displayed on the pricing page. We reserve the right to modify pricing for future purchases; existing purchased credits remain unaffected.

4.3 Credit Expiration

Purchased credits do not expire. Free tier credits (25) are provided as a one-time courtesy and do not expire.

4.4 Refunds

Credit purchases are generally non-refundable. If you experience a technical issue that causes erroneous credit consumption, contact support within 14 days for review.

5. API Usage

API access is available on paid plans only. By using the API, you additionally agree to:

• Secure your API keys and not embed them in client-side or publicly accessible code
• Include proper error handling and respect rate limit responses
• Not use automated tools to generate excessive requests beyond reasonable use

We may revoke API keys that are compromised or associated with abusive activity without prior notice.

6. Data and Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. You represent that:

• You have a legitimate basis for verifying the email addresses you submit
• You comply with applicable data protection laws (including GDPR, CAN-SPAM, and CCPA) in your collection and use of email addresses
• You will not hold us liable for any data protection claims arising from your use of the Service

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its algorithms, scoring methodology, user interface, and documentation, is the intellectual property of Salloq Software. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service in accordance with these Terms.

You retain ownership of the email lists and data you submit. We claim no ownership over your data.

8. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to:

• Scheduled maintenance (with reasonable advance notice when possible)
• Unscheduled outages caused by circumstances beyond our control
• Third-party service disruptions affecting SMTP verification

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied
• We do not warrant the accuracy or completeness of verification results
• We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service
• Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Salloq Software and its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:

• Your use of the Service
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any applicable laws or regulations
• Your infringement of third-party rights

11. Termination

Either party may terminate this agreement at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account immediately if you violate these Terms. Upon termination:

• Your access to the Service will be revoked
• Unused credits are forfeited (no refund)
• We will retain your data per our Privacy Policy retention schedule
• You may request data export before termination

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts located in Placer County, California.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a prominent notice on the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
